Mortgage software developer promotes from within
Livonia, Michigan, January 25, 2006 – Dynatek, Inc., an established leader in revolutionizing mortgage automation, today announced the promotion of Todd Luhtanen to President.
Effective January 10, 2006, Todd was promoted from his position as Dynatek’s vice president and replaced Jack Luhtanen as president. In his new role Todd will have responsibility for overseeing all sales, marketing and support functions, as well as the company’s general business operations. Todd will also retain his long-time position as Dynatek’s chief technology officer. As CTO, Todd serves as the chief architect of all Dynatek products and is responsible for the company’s technology vision. At this time Dynatek does not have any plans to name a new vice president.
Jack Luhtanen will continue in his role at Dynatek as company CEO and maintain his active daily involvement in company operations. Jack directs all aspects of Dynatek’s policies, objectives and initiatives, and has overall responsibility for the company’s mission and vision.
“This promotion is a natural progression for Todd, and for the company. In his 20 years at Dynatek, Todd has gained a tremendous amount of experience, and his track record in the industry speaks for itself,” said Jack Luhtanen, Dynatek CEO. “Todd is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of Dynatek and MORvision. We are proud to acknowledge and reward his hard work and dedication with this promotion, and we are confident in his ability to lead Dynatek toward continued growth and success.”
Jack and Todd, together with Linda Luhtanen, established Dynatek in 1986. Prior to forming Dynatek, Todd worked as a programmer/analyst for Professional Information Management, a mortgage software provider. Since then, Todd has held several positions at Dynatek, including director of technology and vice president.
Throughout his 20-year tenure at Dynatek, Todd has been instrumental in the company’s development and success. He was responsible for the creation of MORvision, one of the leading loan origination products available to the mortgage industry, as well as the company’s award-winning Plug-In technology.
Todd is active in the mortgage and technology industry. He currently serves as an elected member of the MBA’s Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization Governance Board, and has been highly involved since its inception in 1999. Most recently, Todd earned his Certified Mortgage Technologist (CMT) designation from the MBA, authored a feature article on MISMO in Mortgage Banking Magazine, and has been invited to speak at a national technology conference in February.
