Krishna Srinivasan - Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Krishna Srinivasan

Krishna Srinivasan is Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ISGN, the second largest provider of mortgage solutions to the $3 Trillion US residential lending industry.

ISGN is a fast-growing company with more than 1,100 customers, inclusive of large global banks and many of the top ten lenders in the US; ISGN’s product-line includes a complete range of solutions for lenders, brokers and servicers. ISGN, with its single market and domain focus provides its customers a suite of innovative products and services that help its customers manage all aspects of the borrower experience and loan profitability. ISGN employs more than 1500 people across 6 US locations and two global facilities.

Krishna is the chief architect of ISGN’s growth strategy, which aims to go beyond solutions and be a transformational partner to every customer. He founded the new ISGN with its mortgage focus in the year 2007, a crucial period in global economy with the sub-prime crisis beginning to show signs and the banking industry taking a beating. The years that followed were historical for both the US mortgage business and with it, ISGN. These were years of remedial and recovery measures for the industry and a period of reforms and regulations.

Driven by a vision to enable and transform the mortgage industry by innovative technology, optimized processes and talented people, Krishna guided his team through a carefully chartered course of 4 major acquisitions within months of each other. The first asset, Mortgage Hub brought with it a customer base of top ten mega –large lenders and expertise in the mortgage portal business with several firsts to its credit. FairIsaac’s mortgage division gave ISGN the industry’s proven technology assets and IP, spanning origination to servicing with default tracking and a wide e-services network. Dynatek came with the mid-tier segment and broadened the customer base to cover credit unions and community banks. Richmond Title Services gave a truly national footprint. The fifth major acquisition, of Fiserv’s Fulfillment services division, has taken ISGN to an entirely different league expanding its portfolio of solutions to become an end-to-end provider of platform based KPO solutions to top 15 Banks across the US.

A premier industry publication, Mortgage Technology magazine has designated ISGN as one of the “Top 50 Service Providers” for the mortgage industry for the 3rd consecutive year. ISGN is called upon to voice its views on industry impacting issues by publications and is seen and heard with respect on panels and symposiums; analysts such as Gartner and Tower Group ensure that ISGN’s views are in their surveys and studies of the mortgage industry.

Between ’08 & ’09, functional and cultural integration, the most critical aspect of inorganic growth, was carefully executed. Simultaneously, a meticulously scripted organic growth plan was set in motion. The Global delivery centers were created and grew in resource strength from 0 to 1000 in just one calendar year. With a single domain and single vertical focus, this rapid ramp up of mortgage specialists stands testimony to exemplary strategy backed by perfect execution.

With the global investments of leading growth equity investor New Enterprise Associates and NEA Indo-US ventures coupled with the strength of the leading Indian business conglomerate, the K.K. Birla Group, Krishna has ensured that ISGN has the economic stability to execute on its proven strategy. A single vertical focus, a strategic consolidation of an all-star team and assets, exemplary execution and professional management at its best has put ISGN in a totally different league. The hybrid delivery model, a crucial balance of on-shore offshore resource strength, organic and inorganic growth in tandem, and successful integration of multiple entities makes ISGN truly a study of a unique and successful business hypothesis.

ISGN’s strength is its rare combination of its management’s entrepreneurial zeal coupled with a metrics –driven culture. Under Krishna’s strategic direction, ISGN continues to strengthen its market presence and work towards its vision “To be the lending community’s global transformational partner through outstanding people, optimized processes and integrated technology solutions.”

Prior to joining ISGN, Krishna ran his own venture, Neptune Technologies - a premier technologies, services and systems architecture consulting service company until it was sold to a 3i ventures’ company, Sandhill.

Krishna’s foray into the mortgage industry began as early as 2000 at GMACCM, where he worked with the senior executive team. Krishna has, in early years, worked with Infrastructure World and with the enterprise computing team of Microsoft, associating with global thought leaders in enterprise computing and infrastructure. In his early days as Ramco's principal technical architect he had pioneered the creation and construction of the Global Product Software. Krishna has vast entrepreneurial experience coupled with over 15 years of hands-on experience working with large organizations in India and the US. Until October 2006, Krishna continued to serve on the Board of eBusiness @MIT USA.
